Dela had stolen away to the lake in the middle of the night under the cover of darkness. For him such excursions weren't bothersome at all, night was as clear to him as daylight. He'd taken pains not to wake Erik-or alert Erik's guardian- as he'd absconded with the swan, floating them both back to his room as gently and quietly as possible. David, Dela's roommate, had chosen to sleep under the stars for the night which had given Dela the opportunity he'd desired without him even having to bribe his roomie into staying somewhere else. And so the mim had changed into his own night gear, tucked the swan into his bed then climbed in himself and drifted off to sleep with the knowledge that his friend wouldn't have to wake up in the middle of the lake.
The swan was in deep sleep, he always slept on the lake, and always woke up next to the lake wet and cold. But tonight was different, as he dreamt of gum drops and lollipops he felt warmer and safe. Maybe he was in a nest or maybe for once Kurtis covered him in blankets. No matter, tonight was nice. And right at sunshine the beautiful swan transformed into his lovely prince self. Erik groaned slightly before nuzzling into the bed- bed..? Wait.. Erik eyes slowly opened and studied his surroundings. "Wha..-"
By the time morning broke over the campus Dela had flopped his pink and purple self onto his bedmate, rolling to lay on the swan boy as his body shifted back to normal. Strong pink arms wrapped around Erik and pulled him close as the Mim murmured something unintelligble in his sleep and curled around his friend.
Erik quickly turned scarlet seeing Dela in this kind of state. The boy but his hands on the others chest as he was pulled close. A quiet whimper escaped his lips as he tried to flail away. "S-sorry!...sorry..!!" He whispered over and over. He didnt want Dela to think badly of him but he really knew people would think something was going on if they were caught so close.
There was something shoving at him-didn't people know it was rude to attack someone until they were properly awake? Dela grumbled and pulled Erik closer to stop the flailing and opened one of his oddly coloured eyes to see who was messing with him. The pink boy laughed when he realized it was Erik and nuzzed him genty. "Hush ya now, 's that any way to repay me for makin sure you woke up all nice 'n warm~?"
Erik laid there in shock. "R-Repay you?... Did you bring me here?" He wiggled slightly before relaxing in dela's arms. The flushed boy looked a dela nervously, what did Dela have up his sleeve, what was his plan. He thought such bad things of his friend how rude of him. "T-thank you.." he said quietly it was almost a whisper. "Th-.. this was a nice way to wake up "
The sleepy mim let out a soft grunt of agreement to Erik's question before murmuring "I did 'n you're vera welcome. I'll tryin make sure ta do it more when I kin dodge your brother." Dela yawned and pulled the blankets back around them where Erik's flailing had knocked them off and rested his head on the other boy. He was asleep again in seconds.
Erik let out a sigh and smiled at Dela's actions. "...thanks..." He chewed his lip softly before petting Dela's bang out of his face. Laying his head back into the pillow and letting out a quiet lullaby from his lips. Slowly wrapping his arms around his friend.
As Dela's breathing evened out and he drifted further off the boy snuggled more into Erik and made a quiet contented sound as he did so. Left on his own devices he would wake up within an hour though whether or not Erik was willing to put up with being smooshed by the man that long was questionable.
He was happy with the big man on top of him. Yes, he was nervous and wiggling every so often. But he couldnt help but smile at Dela. Dela looked so calm and content, its nice to see. Erik chuckled softly and pressed his forehead against Dela's. "Dela..~" His voice was soft and calm. "You need to let me go so I can make you tea..~"
Dela murmured something about 'too much sugar' and snuggled Erik more, wrapping his legs around the other boy as best he could considering the nightgown he wore. Not being able to move his legs frustrated his sleeping mind enough that after a moment or two of not being able to fully wrap himself around Erik one of his odd green eyes opened up in a very familiar slitted manner and looked at the boy he was so close to. The eye blinked a moment before closing again and Dela leaned forward to press a soft kiss to Erik's lips before murmuring 'goodmorning' and letting go of his deathgrip on the otherboy but otherwise not moving.
His face was red as he held in his laugh. Watching the Pink man struggle was too much. Those his face completely changed once his was kissed. His expression softened, as he laid there questioning what just happened. Erik patted his lips softly before smiling. "M-Morning" he squeaked out. Erik slipped out of the bed slowly. This shouldn't happened. But, for something so bad, it felt so right. He smiled softly before tip toeing away to make tea.
Dela fell into the space Erik had been laying in with a 'thwump' and just laid there unmoving. After a very long moment he moved so that he could breathe and continued his lazy morning by snuggling into the pillow Erik had been on with a soft unintelligble murmur.
Luckily for Dela, Erik's side still smelled of him. The smell of Lilies and Fresh water. When Erik finally returned he had a cup of tea in his hand, and shaken Dela's shoulder softly. "Dela.." He whispered, "Its time to get ready for school.."
Now you're just teasing the mim. Dela buried his face in the bed and groaned softly when he was shaken. That it was Erik's voice speaking to him eventually made it through the sleep haze and Dela slowly shifted around to look at his friend then sat up quickly when he realized there was tea at hand. "Did you make tea?"
"Hm?" The boy blinked and sat down on the bed, handing the sleepy man the tea. "I did, why? I told you I was..~" Softly he patted the pink man's cheek and stood up. "Do you need me to do anything before I go?.."
"'n I was sleepin. You coulda had your way with me 'n I doubt I'd have noticed~" Dela smiled softly as he took the cup and started to sip his tea then squinted up at Erik. "Go where. Aren't you staying for tea?"
His face was scarlet, as he let out a nervous loud laugh. "I-I would n-Never..!" Flailing his arms about as he spoke. "I-its better to ask..! I w-would never d-do that to anyone..!" Though his slowly calmed down and started to scratch his cheek. "u-uh.. I can stay..I suppose, if you want me to.. I just guessed you wanted to be a-alone when you got ready for class.."
"Well damn, I wouldn't have minded~" Dela motioned for Erik to sit with him and waited for the boy to do so. "Sit 'n stay with me awhile. I don't wake up well 'n is always nice to see your face."
He gulped loudly and let out a relived sigh. Erik smiled lightly at Dela as he sat down back onto the bed once more. "I hope you like the tea. I made the pot just for you." The swan lifted his knees to his chest and rested his head on his knees, keepin his eyes on the pink man.
"Aren't you having any? Here, try it." Dela held his cup out for Erik and leaned on him some, his face still clearly showing how sleepy he was. "Or maybe you poisoned it which is why it's just for me~?"
Erik smiled lightly, taking the cup away from Dela, sipping some. "Hmm? Oh no never, I dont have any good poisons to give you. Ask my brother for some if you wish." He sipped the tea once more before turning his head to Dela. "..." Lightly the boy pressed his forehead against the other's and closed his eyes. He just wanted to be back in the bed, but school called their names.
"Oh now I'll be sure to do that~" Dela blinked sleepily a moment then relaxed more against Erik. "You got a break between some of you're classes right? If'n you're still as sleepy then as I know I'll be why don't we meet back up 'n take a nap. Aint nobody gon look for us here since I usually just sleep on Mal." He yawned after a moment and grumbled faintly. "'n thank you. I can't wake up without tea. Something about being a gentleman's habit my mama started with me." In fact tea was the only time of the day where Dela and his mother had found truce in their house. No magic was used other than to serve and the pair had pleasant conversation with one another until tea was over and the black sorcery started flying again.
Erik let out a soft chuckle. "Is Mal really that comfy?~" Slowly pulling himself away from the other man. "You know I can always come every morning to make you tea. It'll help you wake up faster." The swan boy patted the man's thigh. "You can always find me around the hallway, takin naps during school would be wrong, ill just wait till I get back to my dorm."
"Nah but she keeps people from pullin on my tail." Dela tsked and sat up some. "I would like if you came by each mornin. You know you kin come stay here at night if you want, so you dun wake up on the banks. 's nice havin company in the morning."
Erik smiled at Dela. "What a kind offer, I may take you up on it." Erik leaned close to Dela to sip from the man's tea cup quickly before getting off the bed and moving away. "If I come everyday I'll sadly start putting my clothes with yours, and you dont want my stuff mixed with your lovely things." Erik started to fix his hair quickly in the mirror.
"Oh yes the white would be just so terrible." Dela snickered and sat up then snapped his fingers, his clothes shifting over to freshly pressed ones and his hair whoosing into it's normal style and the sleep quickly fading from his face. He sipped his tea more and watched Erik. "I wouldn't mind your things here Erik. I'd like you to be comfortable 'n it benefits me if you're here since i get a warm bed whenever you stay~"
"Well then." Erik let out a laugh seeing how quickly Dela got ready, "Magic can be used for good." He shook his head lightly then smirked. "Snuggle with David? I cant always be here." Looking over his clothes he gave a light sigh. "I should start heading out to get changed."
"David doesn't smell as good as you do~" Dela stood and looked at Erik. "You said you made a pot?" The mim paused with his cup half to his mouth and looked over Erik. "Want me to poof you new ones?"
The boy thought about it for awhile, should he really trust magic again..? but this was Dela. And he trusted Dela with all his heart. "Yes please?" He asked politely, lifting his arms. "Oh yes, Its still on the counter top where I left it, It may be cold by now though."
"I can heat it." Dela grinned and wiggled his fingers, transforming Erik's clothes into a fresh set of blue and white ones. He paused for a moment then ficked his fingers again and a lovely swan pendant appeared in his customary place on Erik's hip with a silk sash. "Acceptable?"
And in this moment Erik felt like Cinderella. His grin went from ear to ear, spinnin in a circle. "Its wonderful thank you~!" Without another thought the swan quickly jumped on Mim and hugged him tightly.
Dela had started to move but Erik's hug attack had him stopping. The mim blinked for a moment before laughing and hugging his friend back with one arm, mindful of the tea cup he was still holding. "You don't have to thank me none, darlin. For some reason I like seein you smile."
"Well, Smiles are wonderful. They show how happy one is.~" Erik grinned at the Mim before slowly letting go of him, laughing. "Sorry, did I knock over your tea?..~"
Dela shook his head and patted Erik's shoulder. "You didn't. Do you want a cup if I warm it up? Or are you running off now that you're all dressed 'n pretty?" He paused a moment. "Though I think I might prefer you in something else if I had the chance."
He paused for a moment as the smile started to soften on his face. "Actually, perhaps can you warm me up a cup? Tea sounds nice. Hmm?.." The confused boy blinked at the Mim. "Well, what would you rather I wear. I dont mind." He lifted his arms and waited for Dela to do his magic.
Dela moved to warm the pot of tea, glancing over his shoulder at Erik as the contents of the pot started to steam. "Nothin of course. But unless you want to make a fashion statement I dun think you wanna go to class like tha. Then again, I kin always dress to match~" He snickered and moved his hand, the pot lifting to pour a cup for Erik which then floated over to him.
The boy blinked his eyes before knowing what the mim had meant, slowly dropping down his arms. "Oh.."Though the thought of him skipping naked along side Dela made the boy start to smile and snicker. "No no..~ I look fine now." Erik grabbed the cup slowly and looked inside of it before sipping the tea.
"Mmmhmmm. I see how you are, declining my fine offer like that." Dela poured himself a second cup before realizing he still didn't have shoes on. He wiggled his toes and fine leather boots popped in on his feet. "Now I have to decide whether or not I am actually going to class today..."
"Sorry~" The swan shrugged and smiled. "Go to class! Whats the point of skippin hmm~?" Starts drinking more of his tea as he smirked.
"Careful or you'l start soundin like me, prettyboy~" Dela leaned on the corner post of his bed and tsked. "I suppose. Why bother gettin up if'n I'm not gon go." He finished his tea and set the cup down on the table before sitting at the trunk at the end of his bed as he waited for Erik. "You got any idea what Mal 's up to today? Should we give her a rude awakening or you think she's already up~?"
"I wouldnt suggest upsetting her Dela. Perhaps shes still asleep, We can always drop by and pay her a visit.~" Erik started to look at Dela up and down, studying the boy carefully. He closed his eyes, sipping his tea he whispered to himself, "You look too lovely to skip today."
"Mayhaps but I do rather like watchin the smoke come out of her nos-" The mim paused and arched a purple brow at his companion. "Oh sugar. Flattery will get you e'erwhere~"
A snort came out of the boy. He quickly covered his mouth to laugh. "Did you hear me~? Forgive me, my manners are gone today." Erik placed his cup down as he smiled at Dela. "Well come on, lets go wake her up then."
"I hear everythang~" Dela hoped to his feet and held his arm out for Erik to take. "Lead me, goodboy. Before I decide today isn't worth it and claim you as my pillow 'gain~"
Erik raised his brow, chuckling softly. "Your Pillow? I must go to school Im sorry. Maybe another time~" He grabbed onto Dela's arm slowly and started to walk out of his dormroom.
"I'll hold you to that." A flick of his hand had the tea set put away and cleaned and Dela patted Erik's hand. "If she's asleep do you think I could stick my tail in her nose? We know how much she enjoys that~"
"Dela please. If she manages to burn you I wont be able to calm her down." Luckily only Erik really knew how to calm the dragon. It was a secret only Mal would let him know. The boy slowly leaned his head against Mim's arm.
Dela shushed his companion softly. "It'd be fun 'n you know it~ Though she might make me lay on her like a cat wrap for the rest of the day..." He squinted into space as he debated the merits of pissing off his friend so early in the day and being turned into a cat shishkabob.
He smirked and just let his friend decide. To die or not to die. "Its better if you just kiss her hand and help her wake up for school." He usually liked buyin the dragon food before school started so she could be calm.
The mim boy stuck out his tongue as they walked. "Have you e'er kissed someone when they just woke up? 's terrble. Especially ifn they breathe on you. I swear some ladies could melt flowers with just their morning breath."

"But I had a girl a while back. She tried to kill me a few times then mama found out 'bout her 'n did her the same favour except mama dun 'try' at much. She suceeds."

"Sorry~" The swan shrugged and smiled. "Go to class! Whats the point of skippin hmm~?" Starts drinking more of his tea as he smirked.
"Careful or you'l start soundin like me, prettyboy~" Dela leaned on the corner post of his bed and tsked. "I suppose. Why bother gettin up if'n I'm not gon go." He finished his tea and set the cup down on the table before sitting at the trunk at the end of his bed as he waited for Erik. "You got any idea what Mal 's up to today? Should we give her a rude awakening or you think she's already up~?"
"I wouldnt suggest upsetting her Dela. Perhaps shes still asleep, We can always drop by and pay her a visit.~" Erik started to look at Dela up and down, studying the boy carefully. He closed his eyes, sipping his tea he whispered to himself, "You look too lovely to skip today."
"Mayhaps but I do rather like watchin the smoke come out of her nos-" The mim paused and arched a purple brow at his companion. "Oh sugar. Flattery will get you e'erwhere~"
A snort came out of the boy. He quickly covered his mouth to laugh. "Did you hear me~? Forgive me, my manners are gone today." Erik placed his cup down as he smiled at Dela. "Well come on, lets go wake her up then."
"I hear everythang~" Dela hoped to his feet and held his arm out for Erik to take. "Lead me, goodboy. Before I decide today isn't worth it and claim you as my pillow 'gain~"
Erik raised his brow, chuckling softly. "Your Pillow? I must go to school Im sorry. Maybe another time~" He grabbed onto Dela's arm slowly and started to walk out of his dormroom.
"I'll hold you to that." A flick of his hand had the tea set put away and cleaned and Dela patted Erik's hand. "If she's asleep do you think I could stick my tail in her nose? We know how much she enjoys that~"
"Dela please. If she manages to burn you I wont be able to calm her down." Luckily only Erik really knew how to calm the dragon. It was a secret only Mal would let him know. The boy slowly leaned his head against Mim's arm.
Dela shushed his companion softly. "It'd be fun 'n you know it~ Though she might make me lay on her like a cat wrap for the rest of the day..." He squinted into space as he debated the merits of pissing off his friend so early in the day and being turned into a cat shishkabob.
He smirked and just let his friend decide. To die or not to die. "Its better if you just kiss her hand and help her wake up for school." He usually liked buyin the dragon food before school started so she could be calm.
The mim boy stuck out his tongue as they walked. "Have you e'er kissed someone when they just woke up? 's terrble. Especially ifn they breathe on you. I swear some ladies could melt flowers with just their morning breath."
He laughed loudly, grinning at his partner. "I havent had the pleasure to experience that yet.~ But im guessing you have?~ How many bed buddies do you have hmm?" after his statement he gave a light sigh, and started to cover his heart.
"'s terrible, just terrible." Dela laughed and winked at his friend. "Just one now 'n his name is Erik Swan~ the duckbutt." The pink man laughed and shrugged as they walked. "But I had a girl a while back. She tried to kill me a few times then mama found out 'bout her 'n did her the same favour except mama dun 'try' at much. She suceeds."
